This interactive session will help you understand exactly what’s required, how to stay compliant, and how to make the process simpler for next year.

In this session, you’ll explore:

• How and when to register for self-employment and self-assessment.
• What’s included in your tax return – understanding income, expenses, and allowable deductions.
• How to prepare your figures and supporting records for submission.
• When and how to complete your tax return using HMRC’s online system.
• What happens after submission, including payments, corrections, and follow-up actions.
• An introduction to Making Tax Digital (MTD) – upcoming changes and how they’ll affect you.

You’ll also get clear guidance on how different business structures are taxed, helping you choose and manage the right setup for your business.

About the Presenter

Tony Haren is owner/director of Admor Business Solutions, which he founded in 2004.

He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants with over 35 years’ experience in banking/finance and providing financial advice, training and mentoring to business owners.

Tony is a specialist in business finance and corporate governance and is a Business Finance Mentor with Enterprise NI and several local council business programmes. He is also a Senior Credit Reviewer with Credit Review Ireland, where his role is to independently review appeals by small business owners whose bank borrowing requests have been declined.

This Go Succeed workshop is open to all individuals in the early stages of their business, throughout Northern Ireland, and is facilitated by Enterprise Northern Ireland.
