ABOUT THIS EVENT

The Go Succeed Start team hosts this online masterclass;Improving Business Finances for Developing Start Ups.

This workshop is for you if you’ve recently started your business, and you want to learn how to develop and grow it with the right financial structures, systems and processes.

We will share with you key business finance tips that you can use to support the development and sustainable growth of your start-up.

You will learn:

  • Business analysis – how to self-analyse your business using a SWOT (Strengths; Weaknesses; Opportunities; Threats) approach and benchmark your developing business against the 5 Pillars of Good Business Finances
  • Bookkeeping – essential records for tax purposes and how to choose and use a cloud-based bookkeeping system (including a live demo of QuickBooks)
  • Taxes – how to manage your Income tax/Corporation tax/VAT/PAYE returns and payments and the impact of Making Tax Digital on your business growth
  • Planning and forecasting – the importance of a structured approach to pricing and how to forecast and plan for profitable growth
  • Business oversight – how and when to oversee your business performance and increase your chances of survival and sustainable growth

This Go Succeed workshop is open to all individuals in the early stages of their business, throughout Northern Ireland, and is facilitated by Enterprise Northern Ireland.

About the Presenter

Tony Haren is owner/director of Admor Business Solutions, which he founded in 2004.

He is a Member in Practice of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants with over 35 years’ experience in banking/finance and providing financial advice, training and mentoring to business owners.

Tony is a specialist in business finance and corporate governance and is a Business Finance Mentor with Enterprise NI and several local council business programmes. He is also a Senior Credit Reviewer with Credit Review Ireland, where his role is to independently review appeals by small business owners whose bank borrowing requests have been declined.
