Information Session: Belfast’s ‘Get Tender
Ready’ support package
Eligible* businesses across Belfast
are set to benefit from an enhanced package of support to equip them with the
skills to help them win public and private sector tenders.
Belfast City Council is offering
existing businesses with one-to-one mentoring with a specialist advisor, a
bursary to support them in securing a Real Living Wage accreditation and, their
first years membership to Invest NI’s Tender Alert Service.
The upcoming in-person information
session will take place on 23 July 2026 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Belfast City Council, 9 Adelaide Street, Belfast BT2 8DJ.
The session will include:
o Representatives from Belfast City Council’s
commercial and procurement services who will provide insights into the
Council’s social value requirements (including the provision of the Real Living
Wage) in tender specifications.
o Representatives from the Belfast Business Promise who will provide
guidance on their programme of support.
o Representatives from Invest NI who will provide
guidance on access to their business support including their tender alert
service.
o
Representatives
from Advice NI who can provide guidance on the Real Living Wage requirements
and accreditation.
If eligible, following the
information session, your business can avail of:
o Access to one-to-one mentoring support which can be
tailored to support you on a live bid, or equip you with the skills to be
tender ready when the opportunity comes
o A bursary to cover the cost of your first years
Real Living Wage accreditation which will serve to bolster future tender
responses to public sector bodies
o
A bursary
to cover the cost of your first year’s membership of Invest NI’s Tender Alert
Service allowing you to easily identify public sector contract opportunities.
*The following eligibility
criteria applies:
o Have an established business, trading for at least
2 years in the Belfast City Council Area with less than 250 employees (or full
time equivalent).
o Be new to the Go Succeed service (this can be
checked at the information session for you)
o
Be able to
use your best endeavours to create a part time or full-time job in the next 12
months.
