Aim: This workshop will enable attendees to prepare for, conduct and review the interview process while mitigating bias, in order to confidently recruit the right person for the vacancy.
Learning Outcomes: By the end of this session attendees will be able to:
1. Know the steps to plan and prepare for an interview
2. Mitigate bias by ensuring fairness and objectivity
3. Think from an organisational perspective and project their company in the best possible light
4. Interrupt bias during the interview process
5. Make effective decisions about each candidate
6. Explore bias that shows up in other areas of the workplace for e.g. promotions, and know what to do about it.
This is open to all businesses in the Belfast City Council area.
This Peer Support Network will also support Belfast Business Promise organisations with their accreditation journey, particularly for Pledge 7.
