The Reinventors Network is a vibrant, supportive community for entrepreneurs aged 40+ across the Ards and North Down Borough Council area. It’s a place to connect with like-minded peers, exchange real-world experiences and uncover practical ideas that help you stay confident and competitive in today’s changing business landscape.
Making AI Work for You and Your Business is the first in this series of networking events.
In this practical and down-to-earth session, Suzanne Hill will explain why there’s so much confusion surrounding AI. She’ll explore what AI really is and what it isn’t, helping participants see it through a business lens rather than a technical one.
The session will look at how small business owners and freelancers can use AI to build competitive advantage, even with limited time or resources, and how small, practical steps can make a real difference.
Suzanne will also discuss the human side of AI, including what it means for your skills, your workforce (if you have one), and the way we all work. She’ll address the common barriers and fears that often hold people back, showing how to overcome them and build confidence with everyday tools.
Finally, she’ll share a live demonstration of the AI tools she uses herself, illustrating how entrepreneurs can harness AI to work smarter, save time, and strengthen long term business resilience.
About the Facilitator
With over 28 years’ experience helping more than 1,000 SMEs grow nationally and internationally, Suzanne Hill has worked with businesses in over 60 countries, from start-ups to established firms, helping them scale, innovate, and compete. Having earned two postgraduate diplomas in AI and Advanced AI for Business (both with Distinction) from University College Dublin, she founded AI for SMEs, a company dedicated to making AI understandable and practical for non-technical business owners. In April 2025, she was recognised by the All-Ireland Business Foundation as their Thought Leader in AI for 2025, and she was also a keynote speaker at eBay Open 2025 in Birmingham’s NEC, presenting to over 4,000 entrepreneurs on how AI can empower small businesses. Her mission is to help SMEs and freelancers use AI to save time, cut costs, and build long-term resilience.
