Belfast Pride had its first appearance way back in 1991, since then it has grown year on year to become the biggest cross-community event in Northern Ireland. This year it is gearing up to be no different with growing numbers on last year thousands are expected to take to the streets of Belfast City Centre for the annual Pride Parade.

Belfast Pride is a 10 day Festival which takes place from 26th July to 4th August. There are plenty of events happening all over Belfast so you’ll be sure to find something right up your street.

The LGBTQ+ community and anyone else who wishes to join in on the festivities is in for a treat with event organisers all over Northern Ireland bringing you an impressive display of talents. Belfast Pride has organised multiple Big Gay Walking Tours which last 90 minutes.

“Using images, stories and musical memories you will experience what it was like to grow up Queer in Belfast from the time when homosexuality was illegal right through the troubles up to the present day.”
