Help to start your business with Go Succeed NI
Join us on Thursday 5th September, from 2 pm hosted by Go Succeed NI and Derry City and Strabane District Council in partnership with the African Caribbean Community Network at the Lincoln Court Community Centre This event is designed to support those who have an idea and want to see what support is available to help them start a business. Speaker Bio
Affiong Asim (Fifi) is a Nigerian immigrant who is passionate about community building and development and works with ACCN helping to create a niche for the Africans and Caribbeans in Londonderry. Her dream is to see African and Caribbean immigrants rebuild their lives in Derry and fully integrate into various sectors in the community; thereby, contributing to community growth and business development.
Maria McKeever is a Business Officer at
Derry City & Strabane District Council (DCSDC), where she specialises in
supporting small businesses and start-ups. With a strong background in digital
marketing, business development, and strategic planning, Maria brings over a
decade of experience in empowering businesses to grow and succeed. She plays a
pivotal role in the Go Succeed NI initiative, providing guidance and resources
for new start businesses, including access to grants and funding opportunities.
Her passion for innovation and commitment to community development make her a
valuable advocate for local entrepreneurs.
Priscilla Gbadamosi is a small business
owner who established her small business in Londonderry, producing natural hair care
products which she exports across UK and Ireland. Priscilla runs El Gloree
Naturals which specialises in natural and organic ingredients for hair and skin
care. Priscilla received help to start and grow
her business through Derry City and Strabane District Council and
North West Regional College. She will share how these supports helped her along her journey to
success.

This event aims to support immigrants who want to start a business in Northern Ireland and those from ethnic minority owned businesses striving for growth. This event is fully funded as part of Go Succeed NI Business Support in
Derry and Strabane. Go Succeed represents a significant
investment in local entrepreneurs and businesses, funded by the UK
Government.
