If you have started or are considering starting a business in the hair/beauty sector, this event is perfect for you. Come along and hear from the speakers below who have travelled a similar path and are now at the top of their game in the industry.

Louise McDonnell, Founder, LMD Cosmetics
Building a Beauty Empire from Scratch

Louise McDonnell is a makeup artist, beauty expert, blogger, mum and businesswoman who has created her own makeup brand - LMD Cosmetics. As a sought-after makeup artist, she has painted the faces of celebrities across Ireland and the UK and she was Bperfect Cosmetics’ first ever collaborator with the launch of the renowned cult favourite, LMD Master Palette that took Ireland by storm 6 years ago. She now has her very own range of sell out products and works with some of the largest brands in the industry. Hailing from Portglenone, she has a following of 155K on Instagram where her beauty hacks attract thousands across the world. She will share the story of how she started her empire from scratch with nothing but hard work and determination.

Jay Millar, Founder, Jays Barber Club and Jays Pro Barber Academy
Building a Life-Changing Career

Jay Millar has been barbering for over a decade and runs the successful Jay's Barber Club in North Belfast alongside his training academy, Jays Barber Academy which he opened in 2020. Despite coming into the career later than most at age 28, Jay’s success story from orphaned child, to fighting battles with his mental health and addiction to owning a thriving business is one he now uses to inspire the next generation. When he has time outside of running two busy businesses, Jay works alongside many schools and colleges and volunteers any spare time to work with homeless and vulnerable adults. He is passionate about treating everyone as equal and a firm believer, and advocate, that anyone has the ability to open and run a successful business no matter their circumstances.
