This is an inspiring 2 hour walk up a deep glen into the Castlereagh Hills. It starts at the pedestrian entrance to Cregagh Glen on the Outer Ring at the top of the Cregagh Road and finishes at the National Trust car park on the Lisnabreeny Road. One of the themes of this tour is the music of Van Morrison, who turns 80 this month. This green place was one of his earliest inspirations and it features in some wonderful songs. This is a challenging walk, with many steps and some steep and uneven inclines - to be rewarded with wonderful views of Belfast and County Down.
