In an age where creativity, collaboration, and community are more accessible than ever Midtown Creatives has launched a peer-to-peer network to reshape how artisans tell their creative stories, explore new opportunities, and navigate complex regulations such as the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR).
Gaining a
Greater Understanding of GPSR Legislation
As the craft
sector grows and evolves, so does the need for understanding the legal
landscape. One of the most significant pieces of legislation impacting the
craft sector is the new General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), which aims to
ensure that products placed are safe for consumers.
Navigating
GPSR can be complex for independent creators who may not have the resources or
legal expertise to fully understand the regulation’s requirements. P2P networks
can play a crucial role here by providing artisans with shared knowledge, legal
resources, and peer support to ensure compliance with GPSR.
Looking
Ahead
As we
approach 2025 peer-to-peer networks hold the potential to amplify the voices of
artisans, enabling them to tell their stories in more authentic and impactful
ways. By collaborating with others, exploring new digital tools, and navigating
legal complexities like GPSR, craftspeople can tap into opportunities that once
seemed out of reach. Attendees will have the opportunity to shape future
peer to peer network meetings, explore the possibility of best practice visits,
showcase to buyers, tap into the tourism sector and much much more!!
