For the final Masterclass of 2018, Misfit welcomes a bonafide legend in the shape of Cologne based dj, producer and label boss, Michael Mayer.
Head honcho at one of the world’s leading electronic music labels, Kompakt Records, Michael Mayer is one of the most influential figures in dance music. Not only is he responsible for deciding what will be released on the label and working with the label's artists, Michael also oversees Kompakt's distribution wing - the home of over 50 record labels. When not involved with the nitty gritty of the record industry, Michael has been releasing his own productions since the mid 90’s and remixing everyone from the Pet Shop Boys to Depeche Mode, Foals to Roman Flugel.
Beyond the studio Michael Mayer’s reputation as a dj is pretty much second to none with thousands of global club and festival gigs under his belt plus a series of critically acclaimed mix compilations for Fabric & !K7’s DJ Kicks series.
Definitely one for the heads, Michael Mayer’s Belfast date looks set to be one of the highlights of Misfit’s 2018 agenda!
