On 13th January 2001 - her 81st birthday, and ten months before her death - Jean Craig completed a Grandparents Book for her grandchildren.

In this rehearsed reading, excerpts from the book will be read, many of them detailing Jean's eight decades living in the east of the city. Jean Craig’s story details the life of an extraordinary and much-loved local woman living in an east Belfast which is now only a memory. This unique event has been organised by Jean's eldest grandchild Peter McCabe.
