Colin Killeen is the Procurement Manager at Derry City and Strabane District Council (DCSDC). With extensive experience in public sector procurement, Colin leads the council's procurement strategies and ensures adherence to best practices. During this session, Colin will provide an overview of DCSDC’s procurement methods, explain how businesses can get onto the council’s select list, and clarify the feedback process, outlining your rights as a supplier.
Amanda Stevenson from CITB NI will attend to provide an
update on the products and services available to employers registered with CITB
NI. This will include details on the direct grant scheme for training and
qualifications including Apprenticeship grants and other initiatives, such as
the 'Adopt a School' program, where companies in the built environment sector
can partner with schools to promote careers in construction.
