Can I set the text that appears on the card statements of my customers?

Yes, this is called the card descriptor. We recommend setting this as it reduces the number of chargebacks due to the customer failing to recognise the source of a charge on their card.

You can set a default card descriptor (up to a maximum of 22 characters) from the Settings page, under 'Payments'.

You can also set a card descriptor for an individual event. This is useful if you have a venue that operates multiple event brands and helps customers to quickly recognise where the transaction came from. You can find this setting under 'Advanced Details' when editing your event.

If you don't set a card descriptor for your event, we'll just use the default one. If you haven't set a default card descriptor, we'll use "GLISTRR".
