Biography

Boku, also known as Ian Ring, is a burgeoning Irish musician who has been actively releasing his own unique take on electronic dance music. With a career that began as part of the electro-pop duo Young Wonder, consisting of Ring and fellow Cork native Rachel Koeman, Boku has evolved into a solo artist making waves in the music industry. His recent work has seen him working for artists such as Denise Chaila, LF System, and Talos, showcasing his versatile production skills and collaborative spirit. Over time, Ian has garnered the attention of renowned entities in the industry, with support from labels including Sony, Ultra Records, Universal Music Group, and Warner Music and Choice Prize nominations. His unique sound and artistic vision have caught the ear of BBC Radio 1, further solidifying his status as an emerging talent in the electronic music scene.

After making some serious noise at the back end of 2023, with his single 'About You', that saw an abundance of support at Radio 1 from the likes of Danny Howard, Jeremiah Asiamah, Jack Saunders and Arielle Free, much-tipped Irish producer Boku returns with a brand new single ''Fading Echoes'' to kick off a new year, with his forward-thinking sounds yet again primed to turn heads. Boku also recently scored an Adidas All Blacks advertisement, further exemplifying his growing prominence as a sought-after artist.
