Biography

Championed by Pete Tong as one of his future stars, Calvin Logue has already taken his brand from the suburbs of Glasgow to some of the world’s most iconic venues. Going from playing at the world famous Arches in Glasgow to performing at quintessential Ibiza clubs including Privilege, Space, Gatecrasher, Sankeys, Café Mambo and Amnesia.

Emerging from the underground Scottish dance scene, the rising newcomer has already garnered international tastemaker DJ support from the likes of Adam Beyer, Carl Cox, Nicole Moudaber and also secured an essential new tune on Pete Tong’s BBC R1 show with his track ‘Mysteryland’.

Calvin started his musical journey at a young age of 12 learning music production whilst messing about with his dad’s turntables. Growing up listening to his parent’s rave records has heavily influenced the producer in the studio who’s then went on to release track’s on major record labels and also remixing tracks for some top names in the industry.

Drawing inspiration from loads of different genres, Calvin likes to challenge himself in the studio by keeping his sound fresh and unique. Take a listen to his recent track’s and you’ll feel them envelope you with rumbling kicks and oscillating industrial synths that carefully unwind into progressive, deftly crafted arrangements.

This is complex and mature techno, from a young producer who’s been honing his craft since he was at school. Just imagine what the next ten years could bring for Calvin Logue.
