Biography
Irish LGBT electronic producer, Neil Kerr, hit the ground running when he launched his Mount Palomar moniker in 2018. Booked to play the world famous Berghain nightclub in Berlin just days after his first live performance, he went on to play the iconic Berlin venue 4 times within his first year. Testament to the strength of his talents, a highly sought after peak time slot on the main Berghain floor for their gay pride party, established Mount Palomar as one of Ireland’s most exciting and forward thinking producers and live acts.
Having shared stages with acts such as Bicep Overmono PVA Midland Joy Orbison Ross from Friends Or:la etc... at venues such as Printworks London, the Boiler Room stage at the AVA Festival, Fred Perry All Our Tomorrows Festival, Celtronic, Szentek and many more, 2024 will see Neil take his electrifying live electronica back on the road to Europe and further afield.
With 3 EPs released via his Ursa Minor imprint, Neil has been widely praised for his inventive approach to writing and producing, regularly seeing him draw influence from genres not usually associated with dance music. From the folk leanings of Simmer, his track with Joshua Burnside, to the post-punk jungle influences on his critically acclaimed track, Terra Firma, with Irish punks Enola Gay, Neil continues to push himself and those he is working with to new sonic territories. Always 2 steps ahead, next is another curveball collab, this time with Maruja vocalist Harry.
