Biography

Derry born Or:la (Orlagh Dooley) first burst onto the scene after her debut release, 'UK Lonely' on Hotflush Recordings - a four track genre-spanning EP bridging UK bass subtleties with breakbeat and techno. After a string of successive releases on Hotflush, 2017 saw the birth of her collaboration label Deep Sea Frequency. Her current label venture, Céad is centred around the music of lesser known artists and strives to shine a spotlight on up and coming talent. ‍ Or:la's success as a dynamic producer and her reluctance to become defined by any particular style or genre has seen her gain a BBC Radio One show, a residency at the Warehouse Project in Manchester and win DJ Mag's ‘Best DJ’ as well as tour globally on the festival and club circuit. ‍ Her La Potion club night started in London in 2021, focusing on showcasing and celebrating queer creatives, with guests including TAAHLIAH, Roi Perez and Mary Lake plus many more.
